Kira-Kira response 14-16

Katie was given an assignment to write about the theme of her sister's life. Choose a family member or friend and write about the theme of that person's life.

There are many themes of my Dad's life, but the main one is his family. My Dad puts his family before himself in all situations. He always strives for our succes and is always willing to help when asked. I think he gets this from his father,( my grand-father ) who also cared about his family. My Dad shows this by his hard work, commitment and the ability to keep promises. He is also the strongest part of the family and provides good guidance. I am sure there are many other themes but I think this is the most important to him.

Describe Lynn's reaction to the fluttering moth that flew in when Katie opened the bedroom window. Do you think the moth may have been a symbol for something? If so, what did the moth represent?




Lynn, who was diagnosed with Lymphoma in the chapter, may have felt some connection to the moth. If Lynn knew she was dying, she may have felt the same way, Helpless. The moth could have been an symbol to show that now Lynn has leared to apperciate the small things in life, and appericate the things that everyone is doing for her.

Masai Facts

The Masai are an unusual tribe in east Africa who live in a passage stretching from Kenya to Tanzania. There are many interesting facts about them I think the most interesting is the fact that even though they are a fairly famous tribe, they are losing their rights to continue their rituals. i think this is interesting because the government is disallowing them to carry out tradition which is a very unrespectful thing to do.

Interview....

After I interviewed my dad, I found out that he was effected my world events which was new to me because in my eyes he was always the nice kid but apparently not. I also found out that he had a lot of freedom that he would not give me. He was allowed to go out with his friends till late and was allowed to go to the park by himself which I can not do even if there were parks in KL. I also found out that his parents were very strict because his dad wad a police man so he always A's or B+'s, but as grandparents they are quiet gentil. Anyway I thonk I learned a lot from him that I would not have known if I had not done the project.

FRIM, don't ask.........

I really enjoyed FRIM, in a way? I got to know many people I would not have known or aknowledged them if I had not gone and I am greatly thankful for that. I also found the food perfectly O.K but I would probably not have rice for a very, VERY long time. (>.<) The food was the only flaw of camp, I say. One of the things I liked most was getting to know people I thought were weird and curious if I had not got to know them properly. I also enjoyed the hikes but not that much because I didn't really bring the right shoes that caused some wierd concequences...

Kira-Kira chapter 3

* Uncle Katsuhisa is certainly a unique person, write a paragraph on one of your unique relatives or friends.

One of my unique friends members is named Cristian, he has a habit of repeating a certain phrase over the course of the week. One of the famous phrases he said was, "you just got a 3rd degree burn!". He is a really smart but funny kid, he is also unique because he had the best jump shot in the community but thinks he has the worst. Another one of the unique people I know is my old teacher Ms.Surian, she always takes things the wrong always try's to use big words like, " photosynthesis" in the wrong way.

The Quote I chose by Eleanor Roosevelt is one I like and agree with because we all have had bad days and good days but we must treasure today like it is a gift because we won't get the same day twice in a lifetime. I also agree with this Quote because you don't know what is going to happen tomorrow so be prepared.
